Your family is invited to be our guests at Colwood Church's FREE community-wide Easter Egg Helicopter Drop!
Join us on Saturday, April 3rd at 11am as we drop over 10,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes onto three age-appropriate fields on our church campus.
This is definitely a memory-maker!
Using a helicopter and numerous volunteers, over 10,000 plastic eggs will be dropped onto the fields at M-81 & Colwood Road in Caro on Saturday, April 3rd. The free
community event, sponsored by Colwood Church, is for kids 12 and under and will
feature inflatable kids’ games, local fire trucks to explore, and prizes ranging from Gift Cards to iPods. The event begins at 9am and the egg drop will happen at 11am.
Jonathan Herron, Lead Pastor of Colwood Church, said, “Sometimes its hard to get
excited about your typical Easter egg hunt, but its real easy to get excited about a
helicopter dropping eggs. We’re throwing this free party for families as a way of loving on our surrounding communities. The day will definitely be a memory-maker!”
There will be candy and toys in every egg with some rare finds containing certificates for free iPods & Gift Cards courtesy of Colwood Church. Prior to the egg drop, there will be play zones for families to enjoy.
Immediately after the helicopter drops the eggs onto the fields guarded by a human chain of volunteer workers, children will participate in collecting the 10,000+ eggs on the field. The field will be divided into three sections by age so that every child has a fair chance of collecting eggs.
Every family participating in this free community event will need to first register their children. Registration begins at 9am the day of the event. Parking will be at a premium; families are being encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before the 11am drop. Off-duty law enforcement will be assisting in safety and parking for the expected crowds.
